Biography
Hey hey, my name is Max Goodman. I was raised in South Florida by my parents and grew up with a younger sister. I completed my undergraduate education at the sunny University of California, Los Angeles, where I majored in neuroscience and minored in Spanish. I completed medical school at the Medical College of Wisconsin in mighty Milwaukee and also simultaneously earned a Master’s in Science in Clinical & Translational Sciences. Ask me about my time as a caregiver, or when I worked in a psychiatric hospital in Spain, or my lab-work in Japan, or my clinical and educational research, or my ginormous cat. I dabble in all sorts of hobbies with my partner, from reading to gardening to kombucha brewing to language learning to record collecting to exercise to hiking, and more. I think family medicine is simply the best; no other specialty allows me to establish the long-term relationships to help you, your parents, THEIR parents, and your children in a significant way regardless of the issue. Family medicine is the backbone of our healthcare system, and it is my mission to ensure that you have the tools necessary to reach your life goals. I was drawn to Michigan Medicine because of the incredible faculty and resources present to enable my growth as a resident in providing the highest quality of care to you. Come see me at clinic in Chelsea Health Center!
