Amy B. Locke, M.D., assistant professor, director of Integrative Family Medicine (UMIM), is the faculty advisor for the integrative medicine student group for the U-M Medical School. First year medical student, Bella Shah, has been chosen as the representative to coordinate student involvement within the group. She will also serve as the representative to Consortium of Academic Health Centers for Integrative Medicine (CACHIM) on behalf of the student interest group as well as the medical school. The group’s current activities include talks from local providers and faculty.
“Our hope is that by having a student involved in CACHIM that our students can connect with others around the country to foster innovative programs at ours and other medical schools,” says Dr. Locke.
