James M. Cooke, M.D., assistant professor, James F. Peggs, M.D., professor, Kent J. Sheets, Ph.D., professor, and Eric P. Skye, M.D., associate professor, were inducted into the inaugural class of the League of Educational Excellence. The league was established by the medical school to celebrate the school’s teaching faculty who are committed to preparing the next generation of Michigan physicians and scientists.
"We are so excited to see four of our faculty inducted into the inaugural class of the League of Educational Excellence. Education is a key mission of our Department, and each of these individuals has been exemplary in their service to this mission as evidenced by
their extensive accomplishments and stellar ratings. The Department considers itself lucky to have faculty of such national caliber as these four."
The inductees were honored with a celebratory dinner on January 23. Dr. Peggs had the distinct honor of also being inducted into the inaugural class of the League of Clinical Excellence last year. To learn more, see umhsheadlines.org or this message from Dean Woolliscroft.
