Jean A. Malouin, M.D., M.P.H., assistant professor, spoke with Crain's Detroit Business about the state of Michigan and UMHS' efforts to improve efficiencies prior to the start of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.
Dr. Maloiun notes that the state of Michigan is in a much better position to take in the thousands of newly insured patients than Massachusetts was prior to their change in healthcare.
"One of the best vehicles to improve practice productivity. It really is the best vehicle for population management, taking care of patients as efficiently as you can," said Dr. Malouin.
