Week 2

Day 1

Cardio

This workout, led by Lucy Wyndham-Read, is ideal if you are a wheelchair user or recovering from an injury or post op. It is designed in the style of HIIT training, including heavy use of your arms with bursts of higher intensity at 20 seconds followed by a lighter exercise for 10 seconds.

Day 2

Strength

Required Equipment: A light bar or tube, such as a PVC pipe, approximately 3 feet in length.

This workout is led by Adapt to Perform, and was originally set up to be a live workout for viewers around the world. The exercises performed in this session are designed primarily for wheelchair users. These workouts are designed to strengthen the important upper-body muscle groups, including shoulders, biceps, and triceps, as well as general strengthening of the core.

Day 3

Strength

Trenten Merrill is a long-time member of the US Paralympic Track & Field team, where he competes as an F64 (below-knee amputee) long jumper. Join him in this video as he walks you through three of his favorite exercises to strengthen your prosthetic-side leg.

Day 4

Cardio

This 27 minute video provides a fun, upbeat workout designed for persons with spinal cord injuries. No equipment required!

Day 5

Strength

In this video, the MS Society team demonstrates two quick workouts designed to stabilize your core and open up your airwaves.
