2nd Annual Spring Luncheon

2nd Annual Spring Luncheon benefited the University of Michigan's Mary H. Weiser Food Allergy Center

 

Spring Luncheon Guests

On April 20, 2016 the University of Michigan Mary H. Weiser Food Allergy Center hosted the 2nd annual Spring Luncheon at Knollwood Country Club in West Bloomfield, Michigan. More than 375 people attended in support of food allergy research, and to increase awareness of the one in every 13 children that suffer from this potentially life-threatening condition.  The Spring Luncheon featured Sandra Ali, an award-winning anchor and reporter for WDIV Local 4, and Nicholas Ditzler, the founder of the Student Food Allergy Network (SFAN) at The University of Michigan.  “We had an amazing group join us in support of this worthwhile cause” said Stacy Klein, the Spring Luncheon Committee Chair. Over $200,000 was raised through the event, which will help support comprehensive care, education and research to improve quality of life and ultimately find a cure for the millions affected by food allergies.

 The Luncheon Chairs, Hilary Golden, Marla Karimipour and Stacy Klein showed outstanding leadership in the planning of the event. The Spring Luncheon would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of the event committees and the generosity of all the sponsors.
