4th Annual Mary H. Weiser Food Allergy Center Spring Luncheon

 On Thursday, April 26, 2018 we successfully closed on our 4th Annual Mary H. Weiser Food Allergy Center Spring Luncheon at Knollwood Country Club in West Bloomfield, Michigan.  The event was chaired by Adriane Perakis and Kim Prodan, both food allergy advocates and mothers of children with food allergies.   Nearly 300 guests attended the event which raised over $260,000 to support the Mary H. Weiser Food Allergy Center in its mission to improve the lives of food allergic individuals.   The luncheon included a panel discussion moderated by Sandra Ali, Local 4 News Anchor and featured experts within the food allergy community, including James Baker, M.D., Center Director; Nick Lukacs, Ph.D., Center Scientific Director; Kate Fitzgerald, M.D., Psychiatrist, Michigan Medicine’s Department of Psychiatry; and Daniel Kadden, a University of Michigan alumnus who previously served as Student Advisor on the Center’s Advisory Committee.  Luncheon guests walked away more knowledgeable of the food allergy epidemic, and were enthusiastic about the Center’s progress and optimistic about the future in food allergy treatments.
