In all, 34 University of Michigan Medical School students embarked on educational experiences abroad in 2023, many with financial support from Global REACH. We support a variety of clinical and research-based programs for students seeking to engage in global health.

Our Faculty Associates and Faculty Affiliates network boasts 200-plus colleagues engaged in global health from nearly every UMMS department and discipline as well as colleagues from other U-M health science schools. Network members receive our newsletter, attend regular global health forum events, are eligible for our Partnership Development Grants and more.
UMMS holds student exchange agreements with 24 partner institutions across 14 countries and regularly hosts visiting students for both clinical and research-focused learning opportunities at Michigan Medicine. Global REACH facilitates the majority of these visits.
