Pursuing Global Health Equity: Perspectives from China & the U.S.

This session will spotlight PKUHSC’s Department of Global Health as well as the new U-M Center for Global Health Equity. Select faculty engaged in global health work from each institution will engage an exploratory discussion comparing global health and health equity strategies in each nation, and respective approaches to address disparities.

U-M panelists will include Ann Chih Lin, Associate Professor of Public Policy and Director of Lieberthal-Rogel Center for Chinese Studies; and John Ayanian, Professor of Internal Medicine and Health Management & Policy, and Director of Institute for Healthcare Policy & Innovation and a Senior Advisor to Center for Global Health Equity. Center for Global Health Equity Director Joseph Kolars, who also co-Directs the Michigan Medicine-PKUHSC Joint Institute, will moderate the discussion.

Speakers from Peking University include experts on climate change, health education, and aging.
