After a two-year hiatus, the Kellogg Eye Center is pleased to bring back its International Night event, a evening to gather and learn about Michigan Medicine Ophthalmology efforts abroad.
This year's distinguished guest speaker will be Dr. Suzanne Gilbert, co-founder and Senior Director for Research and Strategic Opportunities at the Seva Foundation, a global non-profit that focuses on the prevention and treatment of blindness. A graduate of the U-M School of Public Health, Dr. Gilbert is the recipient of many awards for her continued commitment to ending avoidable blindness over the past 40 years.
In addition, two Kellogg residents will present about research rotations abroad in 2022, and Ophthalmology leaders will detail a newly awarded NIH grant to work with colleagues at Aravind Eye Hospital to bolster research capacity there.
There will be light dinner for attendees beginning at 5:30 p.m. with the program slated to start at 6:15 p.m.
