Engaging medical students firsthand in ongoing global health collaborations only helps to advance partnership and collaboration, but can also be a meaningful educational experience for the student. Our new Faculty-Student Travel Grants are intended to increase the number of opportunities for medical students to engage in short-term international learning experiences to benefit ongoing projects and partnerships.
Who: Faculty/student teams that include a Global REACH Faculty Associate and a UMMS student in good standing. It is available to all degree-seeking students in the medical school (i.e., MD or PhD). (Learn more about becoming a Faculty Associate.)
What: Travel grants in the amount will be awarded to the faculty member to offset travel costs associated with bringing the student to the partner institution.
Amount: Up to $750 to defray travel costs.
