Global Health Council Delegation Invited to 68th World Health Assembly

Institutional members (including the University of Michigan) are invited to join the Global Health Council delegation to the 68th World Health Assembly (WHA) in Geneva, Switzerland May 18-23, 2015.  The WHA, hosted annually by the World Health Organization (WHO), is the forum through which the WHO is governed by its 194 member states. It is the world's highest health policy-setting body, focused on a specific health agenda prepared by its Executive Board. Health ministers from member states around the world gather to decide major policies, approve the WHO work plan and budget, and appoint its Director-General.  Participation in the WHA is limited to delegations.

Please Note:

  • To participate in the GHC Delegation, members must be affiliated with a current GHC organizational or private sector member in good standing.
  • Members of the GHC Delegation will be responsible for their own arrangements, expenses and logistics.
  • Members of the GHC Delegation are invited to partner with GHC in organizing official or unofficial side sessions and are encouraged to participate in GHC sponsored events during the WHA proceedings.  Please contact us if you would like to host a side event with GHC.
  • Participation in the GHC Delegation by GHC individual members will be decided on a case by case basis.
