UMMS-India Partners Receive Funding for Optic Nerve Ultrasound in TBI

University of Michigan Medical School Faculty, Drs. Krishnan Raghavendran and Venkatakrishna Rajajee, have received a two-year grant from the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering. The grant, which begins September 2015, will evaluate the use of ultrasound to measure optic nerve sheath diameter in patients with severe traumatic brain injury in India. This grant application was submitted in collaboration with the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi, as part of the UMMS-India collaborative platform. Dr. Deepak Agrawal serves as the PI from AIIMS. Co-support was obtained from the Department of Bio-technology, Ministry of Health in India.
