Visiting residents, fellows and faculty members from all over the world travel to Ann Arbor to learn from Michigan Medicine colleagues, partners, and collaborators. Such visits should be coordinated through the individual hosting unit or department. Once the prospective visitor has received an official letter of invitation to come to Michigan Medicine, their host department should work with the medical school’s Immigration Compliance Unit to identify, apply for, and process the correct type of visa to facilitate the visit.
