Who: Third- or fourth-year UMMS students pursuing clinical electives abroad.
What: One- to two-month international clinical clerkships in a developing country.
Where: All clinical elective grants are limited to experiences at UMMS partner institutions abroad with active Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) agreements. See below for the list of more than 20 eligible partner institutions across a dozen countries. Woll scholarships are further reserved for experiences in low-resource settings.
Amount: Up to $2,500 to help cover the cost of travel and living expenses.
Apply: The application process is the same as for other Global REACH M3/M4 Elective Scholarships. Applicants apply through M Compass and indicate they are requesting a Woll Scholarship. The application period is rolling and must be completed after approval by the Office Medical School Education (also via M Compass), a minimum of two months prior to planned travel.
