Annually, the Healthcare Administration Scholars Program will accept 15-20 house officers into the Healthcare Administration Track. Interested house officers must complete the attached application, which includes a letter of support from their Program Director. House officers must be a resident in good standing as determined by their Program Director. Admission to the program will be based on the letter of recommendation from the Program Director, as well as the applicant’s personal statement, and curriculum vitae. We are currently recruiting and accepting applications for the Healthcare Administration Scholars Program. The deadline for submission is 5 p.m. on Friday, March 2, 2018. Applicants and programs will be notified by Monday, March 12, 2018.
House Officers accepted into the Healthcare Administration Scholars Program will be expected to attend a minimum of 80% of the sessions. Excused absences include those due to illness or scheduled vacation. If there is concern regarding the ability to comply with this attendance requirement, we would encourage you to discuss this with your Program Director, and have your Program Director contact Dr. Tim Peterson to discuss potential options. Additionally, Scholars will complete a scholarly project, which will be presented to all program scholars, mentors, faculty and Program Directors.
Program Directors will be expected to provide appropriate release time to Scholars so they can participate fully in the program. This includes working with off-services to arrange release time and constructing the Scholars’ schedule to create optimum opportunity for participation. In addition, there is a $1000 per year tuition fee for each participant.
