The laboratory of Sue Hammoud, in the Department of Human Genetics at the University of Michigan Medical School, seeks a full-time Research Laboratory Specialist. The lab focuses on understanding genetic and epigenetic programs that guide germ cell development in-vivo and in-vitro. The applicant will be working with embryonic stem cells and making testicular organoids. You will be expected to lead a research project, and will have opportunities to make original scientific discoveries, analyze data, and suggest future directions. The candidate should have human ESC cell experience, strong written, oral communication skills, and ability to maintain detailed and organized lab notebooks / records. Candidates will be expected to collaboratively contribute to manuscripts, grants and presentations.

- A bachelor’s degree in biology, genetics, biochemistry, or a related field
- 2+ years previous experimental laboratory research experience and ESC experience
- Master’s Degree preferred
