I am broadly interested in gene regulation and understanding how gene expression changes occur within a cell. The Buttitta Lab studies the machinery involved in cell cycle exit and how quiescence is maintained. My research is focused on understanding the regulation of cell cycle genes in Drosophila and how their expression is modulated during development.
