Department of Human Genetics Fall Retreat

3:00 PM to 12:00 PM

Macmillan Center, Roscommon, MI

The Department of Human Genetics Fall Retreat is an annual event that brings together faculty, students, fellows and staff together for a program of scientific discussion and social interactions. The events include poster sessions, talks by trainees and faculty and a keynote address from an invited speaker who is a leader in the field of human genetics.

The annual Department of Human Genetics Fall Retreat is Sept 22-24, 2017 and will be held at the Macmillan Center in Roscommon, the location we were at last year.  Len Pennacchio, the deputy director of Joint Genome Institute and professor at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and University of California, Berkeley will be the keynote speaker. Students are already planning exciting activities and we hope to have lots of participation from students, postdocs and faculty for presentations. This year the retreat will start earlier Friday afternoon to accommodate additional talks, a popular suggestion following last year’s retreat.
