Immunology Program Graduate Student Candidate

Biography

Emma is a Boston native and stayed in Boston for her undergraduate career graduating from Boston University with a B.A. in Neuroscience. At BU, she focused her research on Alzheimer's disease and continued this research after graduating at Massachusetts General Hospital. In 2019, she joined the Immunology program at the University of Michigan and is now working in Dr. Pavan Reddy's lab.

Research Interests

The Reddy lab broadly studies Graft-versus-Host Disease (GVHD). Emma is interested in exploring the interaction of gut microbes/microbial metabolites with host tissue during GVHD.

Cell culture, Flow cytometry, qPCR, Western Blot, Mouse dissection

Hobbies and Extracurricular Activities

Outside the lab, Emma enjoys mountain biking and gravel riding (gravel is superb in Michigan!), playing soccer and cooking up new recipes.
