The Immunology program’s Faculty Allies have diligently sought out opportunities that will promote and create community-building experiences. In that effort, Alfreda Rooks, MPA, Director of Community Health Services has accepted an invitation to meet with the immunology program for a talk titled “Building Bridges – Connecting Communities”.
Mrs. Rooks identifies creative solutions addressing the community's various health and social needs. She leads efforts to improve health outcomes and equity of care through a range of programs and services that address the social determinants of health. These factors include access to safe housing, transportation, income, education, and healthy foods which provide a profound impact on the health-related inequities of various populations. Her expertise is welcomed and appreciated, as we look for efficient and effective ways to impact the community.
