Francina Gonzalez De Los Santos

I was born in the Dominican Republic and immigrated to the US for college. I received a Bachelor of Art in Biology in 2009 and a Master of Physiology in 2014 from Wayne State University. Following graduation, I worked in a few laboratories as a research technician. My most recent work in the Phan laboratory focuses on investigating the mechanisms that cause pulmonary fibrosis development and disease progression.

I'm interested in the dysregulation of the immune system and its contribution to pathogenesis in the lung.
