The University of Michigan’s Allergy and Clinical Immunology Fellowship Training Program is a true leader in the training of future allergists. Our two-year training program is fully accredited by the ACGME and is one of the most sought after Allergy and Clinical Immunology Fellowship Programs in the country.
Strengths of our fellowship training program include:
- Multiple subspecialty clinics not available at other institutions, including a high-risk asthma program, a mast cell disorders clinic, and a combined immunodeficiency clinic. In addition, the University of Michigan’s newly established and endowed University of Michigan Mary H. Weiser Food Allergy Center also serves to enhance patient care, education, and research opportunities for allergists-in-training.
- Unique educational experiences with diverse patient populations at the Corner Health Center and VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System, in addition to training opportunities in our five clinics (Allergy Specialty Clinic and Food Allergy Clinic at Domino’s Farms, Allergy at West Ann Arbor Health Center - Parkland Plaza, Allergy Clinic at Northville Health Center, and Brighton Center for Specialty Care.
- A history of creating innovative educational experiences for our fellows including the implementation of a problem-based learning curriculum, creation of a team-based approach to learning, and unique clinical elective rotations.
- Growth in the number of faculty members and research opportunities. Research activity has significantly increased, as well as our faculty member's areas of research.
We are able to offer a variety of unique educational, clinical, and research opportunities for our fellows. This, combined with the expertise and commitment of our faculty and staff, allows us to produce some of the best-trained allergists in the country.
