Target Audience
The conference will be of particular interest to physicians providing adult primary care and to cardiologists. Other health care professionals, including nurse practitioners and physician assistants who work with cardiology patients, will also find the information helpful.
Course Objectives
At the conclusion of this course, participants will be able to implement:
- Diagnostic methods for ischemia, heart failure, and arrhythmia.
- An understanding of device therapy for arrhythmias, heart failure and structural heart disease.
- An understanding of interventional approaches for atrial fibrillation, coronary artery disease and peripheral arterial disease.
- Management of stroke and post-stroke care.
- An increased knowledge of inherited cardiomyopathies.
- Management of the newer issues related to hypertensive or diabetic patient.

You are encouraged to register as soon as you are certain of attending, as we cannot guarantee educational materials for applicants who are not preregistered and prepaid by Friday, August 4, 2017. Payment must accompany registration. Checks should be made payable to the University of Michigan in U.S. currency. Payments by American Express, Discover, MasterCard or Visa are also accepted. The registration rate includes an electronic syllabus, continental breakfast, coffee service, and private reception for participants, faculty and families.
Cancellation Policy
An administrative fee of $50 will be deducted from your registration payment. Refund requests must be received in writing, no later than Friday, August 4, 2017. No refunds will be made thereafter.
Course Syllabus
An electronic syllabus will be available to download during and a week after the course. The URL will be provided at the course. In addition, a printed syllabus can be purchased for an additional fee of $20. The printed syllabus must be purchased no later than Friday, August 4, 2017.
