This is a clinically focused program designed for primary care health providers interested in the diagnosis and management of clinical problems encountered in primary care. This would include family physicians, general practitioners, internists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, registered nurses, and other health care professionals involved in primary care.
This course is sponsored by the University of Michigan Department of Internal Medicine. The objective of this course is to provide a combination of comprehensive and brief reviews and updates across various specialties including Cardiovascular Medicine, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, General Medicine, Hematology & Oncology, Infectious Diseases, Nephrology, Orthopaedic Surgery, Psychiatry, Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine, and Rheumatology. At the conclusion of this course, participants will be able to implement up-to-date strategies regarding the evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and management of many medical conditions commonly seen in the hospital or office.
You are encouraged to register as soon as you are certain of attending, as we cannot guarantee educational materials for applicants who are not preregistered and prepaid by Friday, May 12, 2017. Payment must accompany registration. Checks should be made payable to the University of Michigan in U.S. currency. Payments by American Express, Discover, MasterCard or Visa are also accepted. The registration rate includes continental breakfast, coffee service, lunch, and course materials for participants.
An administrative fee of $50 will be deducted from your registration payment. Refund requests must be received in writing, no later than Friday, May 12, 2017. No refunds will be made thereafter.
An electronic syllabus will be available to download during and a week after the course. The URL will be provided at the course. In addition, a printed syllabus can be purchased for an additional fee of $20. The printed syllabus must be purchased no later than Friday, May 12, 2017.
