Target Audience

The intended audience for this course includes primary care physicians, geriatricians, psychiatrists, physiatrists, physicians in training, nurses, physician assistants, and rehabilitation specialists who are interested in learning more about clinical aspects of movement disorders.

Course Highlights

Designed for the busy clinician, this exciting full-day course will cover the most common movement disorders seen in clinical practice, including tremor, dystonia, tics, chorea and parkinsonism, as well as gait disorders. Participants will benefit from the expertise of our highly regarded movement disorders faculty, who will provide attendees with high-yield, practical information for recognition, diagnosis, assessment and management of these movement disorders. The afternoon session is dedicated to “bedside teaching” sessions with actual patients. During these sessions, faculty will demonstrate movement disorders examination techniques and share clinical pearls so that participants can be more confident in diagnosing various movement disorders.
Primary care physicians, geriatricians, psychiatrists, physiatrists, physicians in training, nurses, physician assistants, and rehabilitation specialists who are interested in learning more about clinical aspects of movement disorders will find this course highly beneficial.

 

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to describe how to evaluate, examine and treat patients who present with:

  • Tremor
  • Dystonia
  • Parkinsonism
  • Gait Disorders
  • Chorea
  • Tics

Recording the Program

Recording the program with battery-operated devices not requiring podium microphones is permitted for the registrant’s personal use.

Cancellation Policy

An administrative fee of $50 will be deducted from your registration payment. Refund requests must be received in writing, no later than Friday, September 7, 2018. No refunds will be made thereafter.
