The academic promotion process has undergone a number of changes in recent years to the benefit of educators on the Clinical Track. As part of this session, Drs. Rochlen & Cooke will share updates on the promotion process, new criteria and clarified definitions of scholarly contributions, items needed for promotion and an overview and timeline of the process at UMMS. They will also field questions from simulation educators to assist colleagues in utilizing the new promotion criteria.
We look forward to seeing you there!
About the CSC Brown Bag Series: To promote collaboration and best practices in simulation-based education and research, the UMCSC is hosting a monthly Brown Bag Series. The series is intended to allow all University faculty, staff, and learners the opportunity to learn and share best practices in simulation-based education and assessment. The series offers something for everyone, with a broad range of topics relating to simulation-based education in medicine. Presentations will range from projects considered “in-development” from junior educators/researchers to presentations about successfully implemented curricula from the CSC Core faculty. Each session offers attendees the opportunity to gain insights and contribute to a dynamic discussion in a non-intimidating, friendly setting.
UMCSC Brown Bag Series is scheduled from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. monthly on select days in the Clinical Simulation Center
For any inquiries/comments, or you would like to present at the CSC BB Series, please contact Deb Rooney, Director of Education and Research, Clinical Simulation Center ([email protected](link is external)).
