Areas of responsibility: Study Coordinator for Praise 2: Diabetes Self-Management Support in Church-based Settings research trial. Coordinate all study activities, develop relationships with a variety of health care delivery and human service personnel through Southeast Michigan, coordinate recruitment of patients, coordinate promotional activities for recruitment, coordinate/supervise entry of data, generate quarterly reports for funding agency, monitor and manage budget expenditures, participate in establishing and implementing policies/procedures for the study, and facilitate IRB renewals and amendments under the supervision of the principal investigator
Research and scholarly interests: Health disparities and under-served populations; health policy; cancer etiology, prevention, control and survival; implementation and evaluation; environmental factors contributing to health and illness
Subject-matter expertise: Project management and problem solving – survey design, implementation, evaluation — grant and proposal writing — oral and poster presentations — manuscript preparation – data management and statistical analysis
