Biography

Dr. James Snyder is a Neuro-Oncologist at the Hermelin Brain Tumor Center of Henry Ford Health dedicated to improving access to innovative clinical trials and comprehensive multidisciplinary care. Dr. Snyder specializes in the care of people with cancer or tumors involving the nervous system. He is active in all phases of therapeutic clinical trials as well as translational research, including preclinical studies, epigenomics, radiomics, and clinical information efforts to support precision medicine initiatives. He has been recognized for his work addressing access to care barriers for the neuro-oncology community. He completed his neuro-oncology fellowship at Henry Ford Health, Neurology Residency at Ascension Health, Medical Degree at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, and undergraduate training through Michigan State University. First and foremost, Dr. Snyder is a committed advocate for his patients, their families, and the neuro-oncology community, driving patient-centric innovation and progress.

His interest is to improve health outcomes for people faced with rare disease, particularly brain, spine, and nerve cancers or tumors. He is committed to addressing access to care barriers for the State of Michigan (and beyond) with a focus on improving access to therapeutic clinical trials and surgical innovation. He thrives when working in a collaborative research environment with passionate co-Investigators and he serves to drive these projects toward patient level impact. He currently participates in pre-clinical drug modeling, radiomic, epigenomic, and clinical research at the Hermelin Brain Tumor Center of Henry Ford Health.
