Maria Flores is Administrative Specialist Intermediate at the University of Michigan Medical School’s Department of Learning Health Sciences (DLHS).
In her role, she provides HR support to the department and is staff lead for the DLHS DEI Committee. Prior to this role, she was Executive Assistant to Dr. Friedman, Chair of DLHS. Before becoming part of DLHS, she was a legal assistant at an immigration law firm where, under the supervision of an attorney, she managed a range of complex legal matters ranging from naturalization applications to court cases. An honors graduate of the University of Michigan, she is interested in higher education management, community building and health equity.
Outside of work, Maria enjoys spending time with her family and volunteering in matters pertaining to health equity.
