UMCSC is awarded full accreditation once again

The American College of Surgeons re-accredited the UM Clinical Simulation Center for a full three-years.

The University of Michigan Clinical Simulation Center was awarded full three-year re-accreditation as a Comprehensive Education Institute by the American College of Surgeons in December 2016. In addition to rigorous external evaluation, the accreditation process provided an opportunity to review the advancements being made in the use of simulation for improved individual and team performance and patient outcomes at University of Michigan Health System. The UMCSC was recognized for its broad participation, interdepartmental and inter-school collaborations, robust traveling simulation programs, a collaborative funding model for the center and for the core faculty program, and the strong academic mission of the center.
