Dr. Hammoud is a national leader in OB GYN. She is president of the Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics (APGO) and also a senior advisor for Medical Education Innovations at the American Medical Association (AMA). She is a member of the National Board of Medical Examiners and chairs their International Foundations of Medicine (IFOM) committee and she is an examiner for the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She holds MD and MBA degrees from the University of Michigan where she also completed her residency. Her research interests are medical education and cultural competence.
