HILS PhD Students Win Data Visualization Competition

The Health Infrastructures and Learning Systems (HILS) team won the student competition in Healthy Mom + Baby Datapalooza 

The team, led by Stephanie Hall and Kate Weber, were selected as finalists to compete on October 5th, in Fort Wayne, Indiana in the Healthy Mom + Baby Datapalooza event.  They won the student competition for their project to unlock the power of data to support OB Navigators and help improve the outcomes for Medicaid recipient moms and infants in Indiana. This competition is organized by Indiana HIMSS, Parkview Health System, Regenstrief Institute and various state health agencies including the Indiana Department of Health.

Other HILS members include Emily Kobernik, Hyeon Joo and Roshan Paudel. The team recently submitted their prototype solution for the data visualization track and were invited to present their final solution on October 5th. Watch this video to see the prototype they presented.
