Burkhardt named Macy Faculty Scholar

Josiah Macy Jr. foundation will help advance physician and educator Dr. John C. Burkhardt's work on implicit bias interventions in education.

The Josiah Macy Jr. Foundation's program awards salary support up to $100,000 per year over two years to selected Macy Faculty Scholars to undertake educational improvement projects at their institutions.

Burkhardt's project will "test the effectiveness of an implicit bias-focused educational interventions that incorporate personal provider-level data to advance health equity."
