Davis to Receive Russel Award

At the July 16 regents meeting Matthew Davis, MPH, PhD, was selected to receive the 2021 Henry Russel Award

Along with three other faculty members, Davis, an associate professor of learning health sciences and nursing, will receive the university’s highest honor for faculty members who are beginning or in the middle part of their careers.

An award presentation will be announced at a later date and a $5,000 stipend is attached to the award. The announcement can be found in the The University Record.

"Davis is a national leader in the use of data science to extract insights from disparate sources of large health-care data to inform health policy. He has also developed innovative methods to use social media data to measure public opinion and support for health services that have been adopted by public health scientists."

Congratulations Dr. Davis!
