New from Michelle Daniel and co-authors in Medical Teacher journal, a systematic review of published reports, primarily from North America, Asia and Europe, considering medical educational developments and lessons learned in response to COVID-19 pandemic including descriptions of interventions and data evaluation.
Findings: "Remote synchronous and asynchronous educational developments were rapidly deployed and will likely persist beyond the pandemic. Learner engagement, structure and organization are key. Maintaining clinical exposure is important for learners impacted by COVID-19 and can be achieved using telehealth, PPE, physical distancing.”
