HILS-Online Master's Launched

The unique HILS approach to leading, changing and transforming health is now available to students regardless of location.

In order broaden the reach of the Health Infrastructures and Learning Systems (HILS) graduate programs, the Department of Learning Health Sciences is launching HILS-Online to begin instruction in Fall 2021. Based on the same methods and principles as the residential HILS program for master's and PhD students, HILS-Online will offer flexibility to those seeking to obtain a master's of science degree without having to move or quit their current job.

Those accepted to the HILS-Online program will develop research and implementation skills addressing the social and technical challenges health systems encounter while making continuous improvement routine.

HILS-Online is housed within the University of Michigan Medical School Department of Learning Health Sciences.  This first-in-the-nation basic science department is focused on learning across multiple levels of scale (i.e. individual, group, organization, region, nation) to promote innovation and improvement in health. HILS-Online faculty come from a wide range of U-M schools including, but not limited to, the Schools of Information, Public Health, Dentistry, Pharmacy and Nursing.

See if the HILS-Online is right for you and apply by February 1, 2021, for preferred consideration or by the final deadline of June 1, 2021
