Vydiswaran will also become an associate professor in the U-M School of Information. His promotion in the U-M Medical School is a tenured position where he will continue his work on the forefront of Natural Language Processing. Vydiswaran teaches LHS 712: Natural Language Processing on Health Data and LHS 610: Exploratory Data Analysis for Health in our Health Infrastructures and Learning Systems (HILS) graduate program and is also the creator of the popular Applied Text Mining in Python Coursera MOOC.
