Oliver Jintha Gadabu earned his PhD in Health Infrastructures and Learning Systems in 2021. His dissertation was entitled, "Describing Documentation of Electronic Health Records (EHR) in Anti-Retroviral Therapy (ART) Clinics to Improve Data Quality for Healthcare Processes in Malawi."

He earned his BS in Computer Science and Statistics at the University of Malawi, Chancellor College and has an MPH in Medical Informatics from the University of South Africa.

Oliver has 10 years of experience in active design, development and implementation and scale up of medical informatics solutions using Health Information technology in resource-constrained settings. During that 10 years he participated in software development, deployment, and maintenance of real time point-of-care systems in high burden health facilities in Malawi as part of his work with the Baobab Health organization.

What attracted you to the program?
The opportunity to study knowledge representation in health infrastructures in electronic records to create feedback to providers deployed at the point of care.
