Shuhan is a PhD student in the Clinical Pharmacy and Translational Sciences program. Shuhan’s academic background has equipped her with knowledge in multiple disciplines including biology, chemistry, physiology, and pharmacology. After choosing a major in pharmacometrics, she learned several computational techniques for advancing datadriven and medication-oriented research across the life cycle of drugs. While getting her master’s degree, she participated in research projects regarding molecular modeling for drug discovery and pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics (PK/PD) simulation for individualized dosing regimen design. Her current research interests include PK/PD-guided precise dosing in treatment with antibiotics and electronic health record (EHR) data mining for health service improvement. By diving deeper in PK/PD modeling and health informatics, she wants to finally integrate her skills and become an independent investigator for the FDA or in the pharmaceutical industry.
