Biography
Pratap is a first-year master’s student in Health Informatics (MHI). He received his bachelor’s in dentistry from India and worked for two years as an associate dentist before coming to the MHI program. He found his passion for personalized medicine through his coursework at UM. He is interested in clinical decision support tools and machine learning (ML) models which predict the occurrences of various patterns of diseases and outcomes. Additionally, Pratap is interested in the exponential growth in unstructured data in EHRs and how to use ML models to help clinicians achieve their goals. Pratap believes his MHI with a focus in precision health will be invaluable in helping him reach his career objectives.
