Biography
Ying is second-year student in the PharmD program. She received her bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering and chemical engineering at Vanderbilt University. Her undergraduate work combined both science and engineering and provided her with a multidisciplinary and innovative perspective toward health-related problems. She feels the certificate program will prepare her to become a qualified clinician by allowing her to gain in-depth understanding of individually focused disease prevention and treatment and enable her to investigate challenging problems with reasoning and creativity. Ying also participated in the NSF-REU research program in computational biology during her undergraduate studies. She feels that with the help of modern technology, she will be able to provide the best care for each individual patient.
