Dear Colleagues,
We invite you to join us for the 2022 Neuroregeneration and Cognition Challenge on April 22nd and April 23rd at NCRC hosted by the Biointerfaces Institute and the Michigan Neuroscience Institute.
The goal of this 2-day Challenge is to bring together clinicians, scientists, engineers, and technologists to explore new ideas and catalyze interdisciplinary collaborative research at the intersection of neuroregeneration and cognition. Some questions that might be addressed include:
- What are the technical gaps hindering progress in the field of cognitive neuroscience?
- Where will the field be with respect to “Neuroregeneration and Cognition” 100 years from now?
- Should we strive to uncover the basis of cognition on a cellular and molecular level?
Participants are encouraged to develop new collaborations and submit brief research proposals for the seed fund competition on new projects stemming from the Challenge discussions.
We are excited that Dr. Valina Dawson, [bio], Director, Neuroregeneration and Stem Cell Programs, Institute for Cell Engineering, Johns Hopkins University will present the keynote address.
Invited U-M Presenters include:
Huda Akil, Gardner C. Quarton Distinguished University Professor of Neurosciences and Research Professor, Michigan Neuroscience Institute;
