MNI Executive Director Candidate Presentation: Gina R. Poe, Ph.D. (University of California Los Angeles)

8:30 AM to 10:00 AM

Danto Auditorium, Frankel Cardiovascular Center

The University of Michigan research community is invited to attend presentations by the four candidates for the Executive Director position at the Michigan Neuroscience Institute during their upcoming campus visits. The presentations will be hybrid, both in-person and via Zoom.

Neuroscience research is one of the areas of focus for the U-M Medical School's "Great Minds, Greater Discoveries" strategic research plan. A commitment to the Michigan Neuroscience Institute (MNI) plays an important role in that strategy, and a national search was launched earlier this year for an executive director for MNI. The new executive director will spearhead increased collaboration among neuroscientists, coalescing neuroscience programs across the entire U-M campus. A cross-campus search committee has worked diligently to narrow down the field of applicants to four candidates. All are renowned in the neuroscience field, and each has been scheduled for on-campus interviews in the coming weeks. During these visits, each will share their vision for MNI during a public presentation:
