Neuroscience research is one of the areas of focus for the U-M Medical School's "Great Minds, Greater Discoveries" strategic research plan. A commitment to the Michigan Neuroscience Institute (MNI) plays an important role in that strategy, and a national search was launched earlier this year for an executive director for MNI. The new executive director will spearhead increased collaboration among neuroscientists, coalescing neuroscience programs across the entire U-M campus. A cross-campus search committee has worked diligently to narrow down the field of applicants to four candidates. All are renowned in the neuroscience field, and each has been scheduled for on-campus interviews in the coming weeks. During these visits, each will share their vision for MNI during a public presentation.
