In this talk, Daphna Stroumsa, M.D., MPH will review some of the recent data on transgender demographics and healthcare needs, as well as some of the data limitations. Dr. Stroumsa will discuss the barriers that transgender and nonbinary people face to accessing care. The talk will end by discussing possibilities for actions to improve health outcomes, including mental health outcomes, of transgender and nonbinary people.
