12:00 PM

Meeting ID: 910 4550 7427
Passcode: research

This lecture is part of the Neurology/Neuroscience Research Seminar series and features MNI Affiliate Faculty Member Andrew Tidball, Ph.D.

Andrew Tidball, Ph.D.

Neural tube defects (NTDs) are common major congenital malformations (1/1000 births) that can cause mortality or life-long disability; however, the etiology of human NTDs is poorly understood. This talk will describe our progress in modeling pharmaceutical and genetic mechanisms of neural tube defects in single rosette brain organoids. Attendees will better understand neural tube formation and brain organoid models.
