Dr. Keshav GC is from Nepal. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and a Master in Science in Biotechnology from Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu. During his master's research, he investigated the serological diagnosis of neurocysticercosis, where he gained lab skills working in proteins. After that, he received his Ph.D. in Chemistry and Biochemistry from Kent State University, Kent, Ohio. During his graduate research, working in a multi-disciplinary RNA laboratory and inter-departmental collaborations provided him plenty of opportunities to learn and familiarize himself with various techniques from essential microbiology to RNA-protein biology. After getting direct exposure to RNA research, it made him more curious about the RNA world. He finds the study of an RNA structure, dynamics, and functions highly challenging and exciting. Furthermore, he is interested in studying RNA biochemistry/biology of retroviruses. During his free time, Keshav enjoys music/movies and travel. Welcome, Keshav!
