Nick Lesniak is a Ph.D. candidate in the Schloss lab. He is from Dearborn Heights, Michigan, and completed a B.F.A. in industrial design at College for Creative Studies and a B.S. in cell and molecular biology at University of Michigan. Initially, Nick had been working for General Motors to solved design problems but became more interested in applying his problem solving skills towards medical problems. So he came to the University of Michigan to identify new ways to treat and prevent disease. In his spare time, Nick enjoys woodworking and a variety of sports including, rock climbing, kayaking, hockey, and volleyball.
