Carli Piecuch joined the NeuroNetwork of Emerging Therapies in 2019 as a research lab tech associate. Under the guidance of Dr. Benjamin Murdock, Carli was responsible for processing patient samples, organizing the ALS biorepository, and assisting with pre-clinical in-vivo studies.
In June 2021, Carli transitioned to the clinical team at the ALS Center of Excellence as a clinical research coordinator. For the ALS clinical trials, Carli helps with patient recruitment, retention, scheduling, outcome measure testing, and data entry. In the Pranger ALS Clinic, she assists with patient consent for observational studies and administers clinical assessments such as the ALS Functional Rating Scale (ALSFRS-R) and the Cognitive Behavioral Assessment. Carli received her B.S. in Biomedical Laboratory Science from Michigan State University in 2019.
